Athena: Goddess of Wisdom, War, and Crafts by Teri Temple

Athena is portrayed as a Greek goddess of wisdom, crafts, and war in this mythical book that explains her significance. Careful illustrations are drawn to reflect on her power and beauty. This book peeks the readers curiosity toward Greek mythology and other gods and goddesses by placing a family tree at the beginning of the book. The illustrator uses vivid colors and painting-like images that cover a full page. The target audience would be children from 9 to 12 years of age. Although many cultures carry their own set fantasies and myths, Greek mythology could be classified as a right of passage from elementary to the middle school years.
