Letter about myself to my teacher
A Letter to My Teacher by Deborah HopkinsonDear Teacher, Whenever I had something to tell you, I tugged on your shirt and whispered in your ear. This time Im writing a letter. So begins this picture book about a girl who prefers running and jumping to listening and learning and the teacher who gently inspires her. From stomping through creeks on a field trip to pretending to choke when called upon to read aloud, this books young heroine would be a challenge to any teacher. But this teacher isnt just any teacher. By listening carefully and knowing just the right thing to say, she quickly learns that the girls unruly behavior is due to her struggles with reading. And at the very end, we learn what this former student is now: a teacher herself.
A Letter to My Teacher
Being able to take classes with you, having you as my advisor, mentor, teacher, and friend over the past four years has been one of the best things to happen in my life. You have inspired me to achieve at a level higher than I thought possible. Your guidance and encouragement during the thesis process was invaluable — without it I most surely would have been lost at sea. For that I am forever thankful. I cannot begin to describe how important it was for me to be able to seek your advice throughout the thesis process — especially in the spring.

On how to introduce yourself, it might be nice to be just a little bit original - eg is there something striking about you - born on Christmas Day? Very long hair? Favourite food sprouts?
