This is the limited series where Keith Giffen changed Drax from a huge, green, purple-caped, wristband-wearing lummox to the slightly-less-huge, green, leather-trousers-wearing, knife-wielding killing machine more familiar to people who only met Drax for the first time in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. To be honest, thats pretty much all it does, as theres not much actual story here. Oh, it also gave Drax a smart-mouthed, emotionally damaged, pre-teen sidekick but shed been jettisoned by the time the movie rolled around, so she didnt last long. The story-tellings OK, the artworks OK... the books just OK.

2 starsI find that I am not a Shrigley fan. This is a graphic novel of non sequitur pages ~ some funny, some interesting, some evidently above my head because they had absolutely no meaning to me. This is a book of over 300 pages that can be read within about an hour (basically looked at, since there are very few words applied to the graphics). I know I am bucking the crowd on this one, but I really did not enjoy this graphic. The illustrations are crude - which would be alright, if they made any sense.
